Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Hi everyone!!

I am in a particularly great mood today.  A dear friend of mine, who has been having trouble with his marriage wrote me via email today to let me know that his wife had the baby that they were expecting.

Andrew Thomas (last name withheld) was born at 8:05 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 2004 weighing in at 8lbs 6oz.

I was wondering if you PSP'ers out there could help me out.  I am wanting to make up a page of best wishes, and special greetings to this new little man.

I am wanting to have the page up before my friends wife comes home, which will likely be on Saturday morning.  Can you help me?  I will be happy to share the web page with all of you as well......

Love to all

Dear Pat, bitterly cold is the answer today, I was so cold on the roof that I ALMOST CAME HOME,  lol, but the mortgage needs paying so there you go, and daffodils are blooming all over.
regards Chris.
PS. snow forecast for tonight!

Oh, my goodness, Chris!  There are many people on my street getting new roofs and when I see the signs and see the guys up there in this cold, I say a little prayer for you.  God bless you, Chris.  Glad that the daffodils are blooming.  They are such a special flower for me now.

Heather, what is it you want people to do?

Wow, lots of folks in here posting.

Joyce, that is so sad about your son and that dog.  I feel dogs like that need to be put to sleep right away, even if they don't bite anyone.  What is the use of having a dog if all they do is bark and try to bite people.  ::) ???

I got my outfit for my tap class in today.  they are so pretty.   can't wait to get pictures.  We still need a few missing pieces, like wig, gloves and tapper thingies that look like boots to cover our tap shoes.

I got to go...dinner is ready.

I was thinking along the lines of the special graphics that we do for birthdays and anniversaries, only in this case it would be for a brand new baby and his parents.  I gave the time of his birth, as well as the weight and date, just in case anyone wanted to incorporate that into the "card"  On the page that I am doing up, you won't see my name.  I am wanting this to be fairly annonomous, however if anyone here would like to sign their work, that would be ok too, as the couple who I am wanting to do this up for, don't know any of you.

Does any of this make any sence?

Heather

Pat

Well, I'll see what I can do but I must first do 2 weeks of PSP lessons so that I can complete my course.

What are we supposed to be doing with them.  Send them to you?

Many on here have no way of making graphics.  But guess they can send you a greeting.

Hmmm....hadn't even thought about how to get them to me....

Yes I suppose that would work the best, email them to me, and I can work on the page from there.

The email address is heatherbrunet@hotmail.com

I gather all of my email using Outlook express, so I will leave it open tonight and tomorrow, and have Jon move stuff that comes in into the inbox on my harddrive, so that my hotmail inbox doesn't get over loaded.

Hi Pat...
Just heard more on the news re Spain.. tomorrow they are marching against Terrorism. Seems they now think this is an act by Moslem extremists, something to do with a copy of a Qur-an and other items in a car near to one of the stations.

In  Defence of the Cocker Spaniel

I had a wonderful Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel when I lived in Lincolnshire with my grandmother. Nanna bought him  for my 17th birthday.  We walked miles together over the fields,  Paddy was always waiting for me at the gate when I came home from working at the dentist.  He was a loving doggie and never so much as growled at anyone. My Nanna was deaf and he was so gentle with her. Living next door to us were my cousins and their two little boys.  Paddy was a softee with them too.

My Lincolnshire Grandmother grew up on a farm and they had Cocker Spaniels that's why she advised me to have one. She loved them.

My Welsh grandmother had Flush, a lovely Cocker Spaniel also.  They always had a Cocker Spaniels in my  mother's family.

An Alsation bit my finger when I was small.  I was afraid of them all my life until I came here to the park.  Now I have a huge Alsation come running upto my scooter and jump up and lick me all over.

Dogs are like people..some are good, some are bad within each breed. There are rascals in every family!

Goodnight from England.
8.40 p.m. here.

Pepper Spray........Pat I really don't know, that is why I suggested as an alternative the bottle of vinegar water to spray .

I got this from a dog trainer.

Larry Hanna

Hi Jenny and hi everyone.  I have had a busy day and just now getting here to read the postings from yesterday and today.  Today was the bi-monthly luncheon of the retirees from where I used to work.  We had about 12 folks there today and as always had a nice visit and a good meal.  In a few minutes my wife and I are going to go to the Golden Corral for a dinner that is being sponsored by a financial management consultant dealing with retirement.  This is the first time we have gone to anything like this but decided it couldn't hurt to listen and we would have a good meal.

We have had a beautiful day here with it getting into the lower 60s.  The flowering trees are beginning to bloom out and I hope to get a few pictures of some of them in the next few days.

This morning, for the first time ever, there was a trojan virus on my wife's computer that the anti-virus program couldn't remove.  Fortunately, one of the men at the luncheon told me what to do and I came home and it removed the exe file involved and her computer tests free of virus.  We think she may have gotten it from a webpage she visited last night because she said the page did things she had never seen a page do before.

Zachery, that was certainly a frightening experience with the dog and I would have been very frightened as well.  Certainly glad it ended without incident and that you were not bitten.

The situation in Spain is certainly terrible and once again reminds us that terrorists can strike anywhere and at any time.  I truly believe we are experiencing a world-wide war of a type we have never had to fight before.  I just hope we can keep our resolve as nations to combat these terrorists.

Chris, that was a very interesting piece you posted on the financial plight we often put our ministers in and the effect of that on the leadership they provide.

Guess I had better sign off for now and get ready to go.  Hopefully tomorrow I will have more time to make more comments to each of you.

JudyB

Jenny.  I had a cocker spaniel named Paddy as well!  He is with my son Doug and they love him to bits, he is so gentle with the boys.

Cimi is fine with people she knows.  Even the grand kids.  But if a strange to her boy comes around she will bark and chase him.  We usually carry her and give her time to get to know the individual.  Once she has the chance to see she won't be hurt she is fine.

I have lain down most of the afternoon as the kids did their school work.  This cold has got me down, fever and all the rest of the symptoms.  Melaura has helped with the younger girls with their school work where needed and she seems to understand what she is doing with her own work herself.  She is one bright girl.

It is plus 5C here today.  An overcast day, that is threatening snow.  I am staying in for the balance of the day so let it snow/rain or whatever.  It has snowed every friday for the last 8 weeks, except the 13th of Feb!

Well talk later, I am starting supper.

Thanks for the snow, but please don't send your colds Pat and Judy.

There is a news and current affairs program on T.V. in a mo.  I think I will watch some of it.  I have had a wash and am in my night-attire so I will curl up and have a look see.

Yes, Jenny, the news from Spain is so horrible.  Don't watch too much of it or you won't sleep!

Papa John

Well, it is good to see everyone here today.  I have had a kind of lazy day.  I did a lot of printing this morning, printing an invitation for a baby shower for one of our granddaughters.

The weather has been pleasant today but I didn't get my walk because I was feeling just a little under the weather, nothing serious.

I think we are about ready to make our trip.  Saturday morning, early, we will leave and drive down to Bradenton, Florida, where we will be for five weeks.  We will be not far from the beach and will also have a beautiful private swimming pool.  This will be our eleventh year to spend a vacation in this same place.

We worship there with a very nice congregation of around 200 members.  Every year the Christians there welcome us with open arms.    I think of how Paul longed to see the faces of his brothers and sisters in Thessalonica.

1Thes 2:17  But we, brethren, having been taken away from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavored more eagerly to see your face with great desire.  (NKJ)

Christian friends are a great treasure.  I value the friendships we have made here in CP.  Good to see you here each day.

It has been snowing here this evening.  Jenny don't worry we won't send you our colds

Back at ya later.

PapaJohn you drive safely and have a safe trip. Be sure to let us know exactly when you are leaving so we can be praying for travel mercies for you both.

Sonja:and Joyce. Benign Paroximal (positional) Vertigo is caused not by an ear infection or a migraine.

It is caused by something similar to a little ball that rolls across the hairs deep inside the ear that has to do that in order for you to keep your balance.

If it gets stuck you get dizzy when looking upward or going from a sitting position to lying down position or rolling over in bed.

It can last for months.or until the little ball either disolves or starts rolling back and forth again.A year ago it lasted from early December 2002 to April 2003.

This episode was comletly different in that it lasted about 24 hours and was much more intense. No pain though. My doctor also said to keep going to the chiropractor  because that pinched nerve in my neck could also be the problem and/or causing the Silent Migraine.

hey everyone!!

Mr. John!! YOu have a nice safe trip!! I would love to go to Florida!!!!!!

I think they sell pepper spray here in stores But they might not. they might have it behind counter though!
I';; have to bring a thing of vinigar spay with me when I go. Do the dogs hate the smell or does it hert your eyes?

Zachery

JudyB

Zach the vinegar stings the eyes slightly, but when diluted it won't hurt the eyes.  When I was young I would rinse my hair with vinegar, and it stings a little but never hurt.  NO it  won't hurt the dog at all.  They don't like the smell and they don't like the sting.  We Kennel our young Rottie in the evening and at night.  If he barks we will spritz him and he is quiet immediately.  It is a very effective training tool.  You need to train the dogs to stay away from you!

Hello all!

My mom, niece, and I went shopping today in Pigeon Forge.  I found a couple of pairs of slacks, a that was about it.  Mom however, bought a lot of the clothes for the grandkids' birthdays (when one celebrates a birthday, they all get a few presents instead of just one getting a lot of presents) and Christmas.  Last year, she about had all of her shopping done by August!

Beautiful weather here.  It was nice and cool outside today, though a touch windy (but, hey, it's March, right?)

Zach --  I think you can buy pepper spray in the stores (or at least you used to be able to).  Try the sporting goods section at Wal-Mart.  The vinegar water would probably be better though.  That way if one of your younger sisters got a hold of it, it wouldn't be as potentially dangerous.

I'm tired again this evening.  Me thinks I will turn in early again.  Hope it doesn't get to be a habit!!
:P

Take care, and I will "see" you tomorrow, Lord willing and the creeks don't rise. :)

Marilyn,  Judy B., and Zachery,   Thank you for your good wishes for our trip.  I am like a little kid in that I get excited about making a trip, especially to Florida.  Zachery, I wish you could go with us too.  In any case you can pray for a safe trip.  I think we will leave about 5:00 o'clock Central time on Saturday morning.  So you know what I will be dreaming about these next two nights.

I will take my laptop and get on line every day there just like I do here.  I will miss my electric recliner but will have a nice recliner there too.  I will have to use the phone line for connecting to the internet.  Here at home I have a cable connection and also a wireless set up so the modem is across the room or I can take the lap top anywhere in the house and be connected to the internet.  I hope you all have a nice rest tonight.

Regular guy

Hey ya!

I just got finished reading today's posts for NEM, and I wanted to say hi to you all.

I love the devotional from this morning. It is so comforting to think that when things get rough, Jesus really knows how we feel and what we are going through. He is such a joy to know. I have often thought that it was a blessing to know that Creator knows the end of our days from the beginning. Then when I stumble, or fall, he isn't dissapointed in me because he already knew. On the other hand, if I have had a really good day and I get to feeling a bit too proud of myself, it's good to remember that He isn't all that impressed with my self-rightiousness. That keeps me humble, and useable.

Blessings to you all, and Mike, your family is in my prayers this night.

Good grief young lady, are you physic?  A chirstian friend and I drove just over 40 miles to play our first game this year.

Monty: my youngest sone has a little bit of Jicarilla Apache in him. Somewhere in his lineage on his father's side Geronimo was there. I didn't think Geronimo was Apache I thought he was BlackFoot. My son also has some Yaqui in him.

Thanks for the devotional Pat.  I come to read but don't feel a need to post very often.  Lots of different opinions without mine being added to the mix!

Your posts are so helpful Papa John.  I will also add prayers for your safe journey.  Have a wonderful, restful, holiday.

Lee, I am also back golfing.  That time of the year.  So far, I have only been going to the driving range to get my swing working again.  My, that hurts in the beginning...

The curling season is in full swing on TV now and as a former curler, I am spending time glued to the set.  Guess that is something not everyone is familiar with, tho' it became better known after the Olympics.

We are very sad at the moment.  Our dearly beloved cat Perkins is not likely to live.  He is very ill and the vet doesn't hold much hope for a recovery.  His heart is failing and an infection is raging.  They don't know why yet.  Mr. P is only around 63 human yrs. so it is not due to old age.  Both my daughter and granddaugher are very upset, as is this person.  We are people who dearly love animals and a pet is truly part of the family.  So the days ahead do not look to happy right now.  Perkins is a housecat and never goes outdoors, so he is even more a part of our lives.

The days are sunny here now and all sorts of flowers are starting to bloom.  I will have to take some pictures and send for posting.  Still have not had time to study the process.....

God Bless and pleasant dreams all.  Liz

Hi Liz...

Just say, "Hi Guys!  I'm here, you're there!  Talk to you tomorrow!"

Then we know you're ok.  I'm so sorry about Perkins.  We sure become attached to our pets...I know I do.

I've been praying for Al, Liz.

Hi Everyone... I have been reading and enjoying all the posts.   I have to go to bed.   Have an early start tomorrow and will be going to Missionfest tomorrow night at the Convention Centre in Toronto.   There will be speakers for all age groups including Dr. Y. Cho from Korea.  He has the largest church in the world.   There will be an EE booth that I will help mann, as well as booths for all the mission organizations.   Should be very interesting.

Good night and God bless.
