JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

We had a wonderful service at church this morning. Lots of beautiful music and  truly great sermon.

All the secret sisters brought Easter gifts, i received a nice btwo handles basket with goodies in it. What I treasure most are the two packages of organic teas, Yin Hao Jasmine and Selimbong Estate Darjeelin from Edelwies Teas, Lake Tahoe, Ca. There was a cute little Lamb disguised  as a Bunny with two carrots for ear.

Then Forest came over and brought me some chocolate eggs wrapped in purple foil, He said "Look Grandma these are for you and they are all purple." He knows my fovorite color.

I've been watching an old Star Trek movie with young Capt,. Kirk and Mr. Spock. Strange to see them all young after all these years.

I hope you are ll enjoying your family time today.

Marilyn - Happy Easter to you!

Your secret sister gifts sound so lovely.  Now, did you find out who your "sister was"., or is that still a secret?

We have a secret sister at our church too.  I sent mine an Easter card....and then wwhen I was about to mail it., I thought., : " oh gosh...did I sign this thing by mistake?"... so I opened it up, right there at the post office., and sure enough, I signed my name!!..  What a dummy I was!...LOL

So the post master gave me another envelope....and card.... it wasn't nearly as nice a card., but it was "Eastery"...haha., so I mailed it!!

Norm and I are finally back to normal around here.  We were away in Pennsylvania last week to see "Behold the Lamb".  Has anyone here in CP seen that production?  What a beautiful Easter message!

Love to all.  (has anyone missed me at all?...lol)

Hello everyone, and Happy Easter!  We have had an unusual day weatherwise, it snowed today.

Earl and I went to the 8:00 AM worship service this morning so we could be going on to the hospital again, where his sister still remains.  By the time the service was over at 9:10 it was really snowing, and the windshield stacked with snow.  We came home and just decided to let a phone call suffice for today and not go spend the day with Alice as we have been doing.  We needed to rest some anyway, so I guess the Lord gave us a day off.  It is too far to be away from home in case of one of those freak spring snow storms.

I hope all of you have had a blessed day, and enjoyed being with your families where it was possible.

Bye for now,  Janice

This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.   Ps 118:24

Hi everyone.  We have had a very full day starting with a wonderful church service.  The church was full and the choir was augmented by a brass quartet composed of students from the University of Georgia.

Then this afternoon our son, daughter-in-law and a friend of theirs came over for Easter dinner.  My wife made a delicious meal and we all enjoyed the time together.  Our daughter-in-law had her powered wheelchair and got around our house well.  She is experiencing a lot of severe pain with her knee and hips.

Etta Sue, I think you misunderstood what I was saying about the "Left Behind" series as was talking about the book that just came out.  I don't know if there will be another in the series.

I am tired tonight so am going to signoff for today.
It is good

Janet

Ria, thank you for explaining about your second Easter Day in Holland.  Very interesting.

Judy, I missed you, too!  But I am glad you and Norm are still able to go and do things that you want to do.

Larry, glad your family could come to visit today.  Do they live near you there?

Soni, I am looking forward to those photos, too.  Something is wrong with my camera, today when I was trying to take pics of the kids hunting the eggs, it kept turning off, and the count stayed the same.  Rats! :'(

I just watched Joel Osteen on TV.  Do any of the rest of you like to watch/listen to him?  I think he is great!

Happy Easter, Pat!  Where are you hiding today?  Hope you are enjoying a day with your family.

Janice, glad you got to rest today, it sounds like you probably were due for a good rest.  I hope the roads are clear for when you need to go to see Earl's sister again.  Is she in Amarillo in one of those hospitals there?  Boy, that town has become a medical mecca, hasn't it?  They have so many clinics, hospitals, doctors' offices, and even medical and pharmacy schools now.

We had an enjoyable dinner this evening.  I had my Great-Aunt with us and she quite enjoyed the dinner of ham and scalloped potatos and didn't hesitate to say yes when I asked if she would like a meal to take home with her to reheat.  What a pleasant feeling!

Night all.

Larry~What is wrong with your daughter-in-law?  Sorry, don't answer that if you don't want to.  I seem to miss things sometimes and maybe this is one of them. Glad you had a good feast with your family.

Hi Everyone...  What a busy day I've had!  I wasn't feeling up to par this morning so went back to bed and then I was speaking to Judy McKenna on the telephone for awhile and then Andrew and Terena came and they've just gone home so what a nice family time I've had the last couple of days!

Great to come in here and read all the posts!

Of course we missed you Judy!  That's why I sent you a special email telling you!  LOL

I see Cindy online!   I'm so happy Cindy to see you here and hopefully you'll post!

Hello to the rest of you.  Hope you'll be getting better soon, Al Moak.   I don't like to hear that you're sick.

Hi to Soni and Janet and everyone else.

I'll be back later...

Love you all!

PRAISE THE LORD HE IS RISEN.

Ria: I enjoy hearing about Easter in Holland.

It has been a sunny day here but in the afternoon we went to visit a cousin a little to the north west of here and guess what we had snow floating around there.

Lily of the Valley
(Click to hear music)

I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.
Song of Solomon 2:1

Words: Charles W. Fry, 1881; first appeared in the Salvation Army's The War Cry, December 29, 1881. Fry wrote the lyrics in Lincoln, England, while working with the Salvation Army there.
Music: William S. Hays; adapted by Charles W. Fry

I have found a friend in Jesus, He's everything to me,
He's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul;
The Lily of the Valley, in Him alone I see
All I need to cleanse and make me fully whole.
In sorrow He's my comfort, in trouble He's my stay;
He tells me every care on Him to roll.

Refrain

He's the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star,
He's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

He all my grief has taken, and all my sorrows borne;
In temptation He's my strong and mighty tower;
I have all for Him forsaken, and all my idols torn
From my heart and now He keeps me by His power.
Though all the world forsake me, and Satan tempt me sore,
Through Jesus I shall safely reach the goal.

Refrain

He will never, never leave me, nor yet forsake me here,
While I live by faith and do His blessèd will;
A wall of fire about me, I've nothing now to fear,
From His manna He my hungry soul shall fill.
Then sweeping up to glory to see His blessèd face,
Where the rivers of delight shall ever roll.

Refrain

I'm saying Hello and Happy Easter for myself, and Hello for Karma, and that's gonna be about all from us for today :)

Hope everybody had a great day.  Sounds like you all did!

Thanks Nards...  I hope that you both are alright.  Guess you had a big day?  I was sure that I saw Karma online earlier but maybe I was mistaken.
