Well, I've cut half the lawn.That's all I could do!  I got too tired.  

No, it's not freezing all year on the Isle of Lewis, Etta Sue, but it's not hot enough for fruit to grow but root veggies do great.  Tomatoes over in N. Ireland are never grown out in the garden but always in a greenhouse.  Corn just doesn't grow at all.  Not enough heat.

Well, Jeanne, where are you?  I thought we'd have a party tonight!

Well, since Jeanne is out celebrating, it gives me a moment to wish her happy birthday too!

How great it is to come here and find all the birthday greetings!  I feel so blessed to be able to count all of you as my dear friends!  



I've had a lovely day, quietly at home.  After working full time all week that really feels good!    So good, in fact, that when Gene took a friend to visit his wife in the hospital I sat down and fell sound asleep.  

This lovely lady was rushed to the emergency room on Thursday and is in intensive care with congestive heart failure and pneumonia, plus she is diabetic and had a toe amputated just a week ago.  To top it all off, yesterday was their anniversary - #66!!!  I don't imagine Gene and I will reach that plateau, since we'll be celebrating #14 this year.  

Well I just got that dreaded phone call that the landlords are one there way here, should be here in about an hour. Pray please.
I don't know if they got the letter yet or not, it didn't go out until yesterday. My son is really upset with them and told me to call the sheriff if they stared anything with me again. Kinda late for that thought, iI am outta here in 27 more days. Two more weeks of work and then it rest of the packing.

Marilyn:  I guess we were very lucky as we never seen or heard from our landlords.   Now we are are our own landlord.   That too can have its problems we have to pay for our own repairs.
