JennyW: Hello Janet! I check every day. I wish everyone would get going again! I miss seeing pictures and reading posts! 2025-01-24, 06:54:04

Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Same here, Al ... We just transferred from one place to another -- a couple times.   ;)
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

karmat

Wow.  6 years.  Travis was only a year old (he's now 7) and Kristi wasn't even a twinkle in my eye, yet (she just turned 4).  Bernard has had open heart surgery in that time, as well as a recent elbow surgery (he fell off of a skateboard on March 13 and broke both of the bones in his arm at the elbow).

Life is good.

Christ is better.  :)

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  It is another gorgeous day here in Georgia with an expected high of 74 degrees.  I just got back from coffee and walking a mile at the gym.  Now I have the rest of the day free.  I do expect a call from our organist at church who needs some help getting some software installed on her new computer for virus checking.  Pat has been invited to a luncheon so I will have some quiet time here in the middle of the day, not to imply tha it is noisy when she is here, but it is different when another person is around.

Karmat, nice to see you posting.  I saw something a couple of weeks ago that indicated Bernard had gone through some elbow surgery but didn't know the extent of the problem or reason.  Hope he is better by now.

Carol, I expect you are either on the road or about ready to get started.  I hope you have a very nice trip back home.  It is fun to go but so nice to be back in your own home.

Pat

HAHAHA!  Al, many "joined" that day as we were moving from Karma and Bernard's site to this brand spanking new place!!!  :-*

I was just thinking of Janet and her missing this huge party!!   :'(

Today is 60 Chix and we are going to Gaither's.  This class of mine.  Yesterday when I called them, there were 11 going.  This morning...only 8!  Grrrr!  Does everyone have that experience.  People say they will and then they don't?

Then this evening is Beef and Boards and we are to see 'Treasure Island'.  I don't even know the story of it.  Probably did at one time or another but the ol' memory isn't as good as it used to be!

Best get on the move and get dressed.  Have to leave in a half hour!

Karma, I'm sorry that I missed seeing your post above.  I think I was searching for the little list of those that joined us the first day here on our permanent site.

I'm so sorry that Nard has had a problem with his elbow.  My goodness, this is awful.  Please give him a big hug for me.

Thanks for visiting us this week and yes, "Christ is better!"

It would be nice to see some new photos of your little ones.

My goodness!  I was in on the ground floor, huh?  How time flies.  It doesn't seem like six years and yet in another way it seems much longer ago.  Sorry I haven't been around much, but who knows... that may change.  (No promises, though)   <3

Good Morning, my hands are healing nicely only the wounds on my little fingers  require caring for . Happy seems to be doing better today and is quick to scoot under the bed when he sees me with the E-collar or the bottle of medicine I am to spray in him. I had him trapped under the dining room table and he wouldn't let me get the leash on him.

Yes I do  want to thanks Karma and Bernard for allowing us to use their site until this one was set up. Pat have you heard from Trish or her mother, tenderheart and mercychhild. It would be so nice to see them here again.

Hi Marilyn...

I hear from Jen (mercychild) quite a bit but not her mother.

I didn't realize Ruth and I were on the ground floor so to speak.  My how time has flown.

Each of us have had our trials and tribulations and it has been good to share these with this family and know you are being prayed for.  We have quite the prayer team here!

Then there are the blessing each of us have experienced.  Blessing of friendship which crosses all boundries,  those on the other side of the pond have become good friends, united in our Lord..

There are those who have passed on, Jerry, I think of him often and those youngsters who have joined our ranks.  With the young coming on board we have the opportunity to guide and nurture them, Meika.

We thank God for these oppotunities and pray that we are up to the challenge.

Praise The Almighty God for His Son Jesus, who shows us grace mercy and peace.

May CP have many more years of fellowship and photography.

BLEST BE THE TIE
(Click to hear music)

Author:  John Fawcett, 1740-1817
Musician:  Hans G. Nageli, 1773-1836
Arr. By Lowell Mason, 1792-1872

And the multitude of them that believed
were of one heart and of one soul:
neither said any of them that ought of the things
which he possessed was his own;
but they had all things common.
Acts 4:32

Blest be the tie that binds
Our hearts in Christian love;
The fellowship of kindred minds
Is like that to that above.

Before our Father's throne
We pour our ardent prayers;
Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one
Our comforts and our cares.

We share each other's woes,
Our mutual burdens bear;
And often for each other flows
The sympathizing tear.

When we asunder part,
It gives us inward pain;
But we shall still be joined in heart,
And hope to meet again.

This glorious hope revives
Our courage by the way;
While each in expectation lives,
And longs to see the day.

From sorrow, toil and pain,
And sin, we shall be free,
And perfect love and friendship reign
Through all eternity.

Pat, that's the perfect hymn to follow Judy's post.  I love its message.  Yes -- we are bound together in Christian love.  ;) <3

I also wish to thank you for "hanging in there" to keep this site up and running for, now, six years!   :thumbsup:

Of course, there have been growing pains as in any family, but through it all ........ Karma said it: "Life is good but Christ is better!"  I agree.    ;)
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Amen!
Praise the Savior, ye who know Him;
Who can tell how much we owe Him.
Gladly let us render to Him
All we are and have!

My how time flies I did not realize that I was also one of the first ones to join. Many have stayed and others have gone.  Judy about the trials by times it does seem forever and yes I was slapped with another just this past Saturday about this trial if I cannot say anything good I choose to say nothing at all.

Larry: It seems that when you go to a new dentist at least it happens to me they have to find ways to get the $$$$$$$ needed or not. I am not really sure how necessary it all is.

I went out and did some grocery shopping  and one item I was looking for was a pickled cottage roll, I have not had one in quite some time problem was I went to several stores and finally got one at the 4th grocery store.

We had the beautiful sun all day.  See ya all again.     Ruth

Don't feel bad, Jane.  I never heard of it either.  Glad I came back today - I've learned something new!  :thumbsup:

Beautiful sunshine today.  The buds are just starting to slowly swell on the trees - it will be a while before we have any flowers or leaves, though.

I have to give praise to the Lord for solving a big problem I had, through my church.  I see time and time again just why He brought me back to my home town and why He led me to this church.  He is GOOD and always in control!   <3

Pat

Good Morning!

It's a beautiful day here in Guelph.  The sun is shining and it's not windy and it's just a lovely day to go for a walk maybe with Geordie.

Paul slept last night (which I'm pleased about) and decided to leave this morning to drive up here.  Then he saw some hostas that he hadn't planted so got them done and so pulled out of the driveway at about 10 to 10 Eastern time so he's now on the road north.

Glad I could help you with the Cottage Roll, Jane and Jeanne.  Not sure how Ruth cooks hers but most, I think would cook it in the Slow Cooker with some veggies, etc.  Mmmmm, nice.

See that funny looking sleeping bird over in the left sidebar where it says, "Enter today!  Mini Challenge #31~BIRDS"??

Well, that bird was taken by Sarge who is one of our members and I believe he lives in Australia and he turned just 15 yesterday and I missed his birthday till late in here.  So, let's have a belated birthday party for our young member.  He's a great photographer too!  He won the last challenge and so got to choose the topic for this one and he chose "Birds".

Could this be the Easter duck peeking in on us today?

Happy Good Friday.  That's a lie.  Really there is nothing happy or good about this Friday.  It is a very sad day indeed to remember how Jesus suffered for mankind and especially for you and me.  I am a sinner.  To think that Christ was crucified on the cross for MY sins.  Sad...very sad.

I was planning on mowing today but it rained last night and I see puddles in the yard.  No mowing today.  Maybe tomorrow.

Tonight my church is showing 'The Passion of the Christ'.  I have seen it twice in the theaters when it first came out.  After the showing we are to have communion.  I know it will be a touching evening.

Just came on and got the call "Daddy's home and the sound of air brakes!" so I will be gone soon.

HAPPY 6th ANNIVERSARY  - Christian Photographers

You are all truly doing Gods work. This site has been an inspiration and blessing to all. I can testify to your wonderful outreach and spreading of Gods love. I have come though a rough patch lately so I haven't been on site.
May God bless this site and you all with many more years of love and success with your work.

love,
         Bob Traber <3

Pat

Bob, it's soooooo good to see your post.

Paul and I prayed for you last night during our devotional time.  We prayed that the Lord would especially draw close to both you and Lois.

Thank you for sharing.

Happy Belated Birthday Sarge   :hb3: :woohoo:

Pat: Thanks for the Cottage Roll explanation. The roll being cured and stored in salt( its brine) I usually boil it in a large pan with the plastic over removed, then serve hot or cold a lovely treat, for those with needs watch the salt content. Yum it is good served with mustard. I will have it hot with mashed potatoes and cabbage.

A lovely sunny day and not to cold. I have been doing the finishing touches to a sweater that I have been knitting for a friend.   Yesterday I did a loaf of whole wheat bread in the machine and it went out over the top the only reason for this I think is that perhaps I used too much glutin or had my ingred. to warm to start regardless it is yummy. Something I have not done in years is make Hot Cross Buns so that will be my project for tomorrow.
